Story Summary:

In “Basinwick Shire,” a tranquil village shrouded in despair, a mysterious sickness grips its inhabitants, claiming lives with alarming speed. As the player arrives, they are thrust into a race against time to uncover the cure. Guided by whispers of hope, they seek out the elusive Alchemist, the key to unlocking the remedy. But the path to salvation is fraught with peril, as the player must navigate treacherous terrain and gather elusive ingredients to concoct the antidote before it’s too late. Will they unravel the secrets of the Alchemist’s wisdom and save Basinwick Shire from its grim fate?

“Basinwick Shire,” Quest for the Cure I’ve implemented a sophisticated gameplay system that prioritizes player versatility. Central to this design is the incorporation of dynamic choices that cater to the player’s individual characteristics, ensuring a personalized experience. Additionally, a unique status effect mechanic adds depth by incentivizing players to expedite quest completion due to the imminent threat posed by the village-wide sickness.
Furthermore, the quest structure is intentionally designed to accommodate a myriad of playstyles, including stealth, diplomatic engagement with NPCs, or direct confrontation. This versatility empowers players to approach challenges in a manner that aligns with their preferred gameplay style, fostering a sense of agency and immersion.
By prioritizing adaptability and player choice, “Basinwick Shire” offers a rich and diverse gaming experience that resonates with a wide range of players, showcasing my technical proficiency and commitment to delivering engaging gameplay mechanics.

In this slide, I've unveiled the combat design for one of the enemies in my upcoming game, Sweet Showdown, known as the 'Jawbreaker Snail.' This document meticulously covers every aspect, including the enemy's description, intricate visual details of its various attacks showcased through GIFs created by me, and a detailed breakdown of its AI state machine and detection areas.

Crafting this document was an exhilarating challenge, but one I embraced wholeheartedly. I'm immensely proud of the result, as it not only demonstrates my passion for game design but also signifies the valuable lessons I've learned throughout the process.
